Mechanical Polished Concrete, Partial Exposure, Low Gloss, Baranduda Victoria
The brief from Lewis Dickson was straightforward: a finish that felt considered without being loud. Something that would sit naturally alongside the clean, contemporary aesthetic they’d brought to the rest of the Oakland display home in Baranduda.
Partial exposure, low gloss was the right call. Using a Wodonga quarry mix slab as the base, we ground to a partial exposure to let just enough aggregate show through — enough to give the floor depth and interest, not so much that it competes with anything around it. The low gloss finish keeps it grounded. No heavy sheen, no over-processed look. Just a clean, consistent surface that lets the architecture breathe.
From the open plan living areas through to the bedrooms and hallway, the floor reads as one cohesive surface — which is exactly what you want in a display home built to show people what’s possible.
The Oakland display home is open daily from 1pm to 5pm at 20 Westacott Crescent, Baranduda, Victoria. Ask for Michelle — she’ll walk you through the home and show off the floors up close.
We’d love to be part of your next build or renovation across Albury Wodonga and the region.
