We’re a small, family run team that’s been polishing, protecting and perfecting concrete floors across Albury–Wodonga, North East Victoria and Southern NSW since 2003.
Our story
Spec Floors was founded in 2003 by James Murray, who started the business as a hands on operation specialising in premium concrete finishing. In 2006 Craig Lumsden became involved as a partner and together James and Craig built a strong reputation for quality and service in the Albury Wodonga region. The partnership dissolved in 2008 and Craig continued on with Spec Floors for the next 15 years, further developing our reputation, quality and service.
As the business grew, Craig passed those skills on to his son Dale, eventually selling the business to Dale in 2022. Today, Dale owns and manages Spec Floors and is the person you’ll meet on site. He runs every project and is hands on – from providing advice and customer service to managing job sites and delivering SPECtacular polished concrete floors. Dale prides himself on his industry partners and operates state of the art grinding and polishing equipment, bringing a deep technical knowledge of how polishing works -mechanically and chemically – so your slab is refined the right way, not just made to look shiny. If you want to talk finish options, exposure targets or the “why” behind densifiers and sealers, Dale’s your expert and your main point of contact from first visit to handover.
Dale’s partner Jade works quietly in the background handling the accounts, invoicing and valuable admin support.
Julie has been part of the Spec Floors journey since 2007 and is the other main contact for clients. Julie’s skills and experience in looking after day to day client support, compliance, scheduling and marketing ensure communication stays clear and timelines stay on track. When Dale is on the tools Julie is generally the friendly voice you will get over the phone answering all of your technical and logistical questions – her knowledge of our products and systems is outstanding and she is always willing to help.
Together, we’re a tight, professional crew with decades of experience, a strong understanding of concrete, and a genuine commitment to delivering floors we’re proud to put our name to.

Support & expertise: Spec Floors pride ourselves on excellent customer service – sharing our extensive knowledge of concrete flooring with our customers. Every quote comes with relevant slab and/or process documentation to support our customers and their building team.
Professional delivery: We use cutting edge machinery, industrial diamond tooling and the highest quality products with our proven workflows to achieve SPECtacular results.
